HOW I WORK

How I work developed and evolved over a period of time, through the learning and working experience with the various organisations and diverse clients I worked with. The knowledge, transferrable skills and experience enabled me to truly understand and integrate a robust client centred approach into my therapy practice, and the therapeutic safe space I provide.

Intention is key for me – it is my framework for working with ‘Integrity’. It is important to establish and build, from the assessment, our therapeutic collaborative working alliance.

Being an integrative therapist means I take a client-centred approach to counselling and Psychotherapy; I provide you with the therapeutic tools and support you need to develop a ‘stronger sense of your authentic nature’ - the good enough you.

This therapeutic space I create (whether online, by telephone or in person) is trusting, safe, stable and confidential. I see you as a unique individual, which enables me to work holistically and draw on different therapeutic techniques and modalities. I tailor my approach to your individual needs, selecting the strategies and psychological approaches that are most appropriate for the issues you are experiencing.

I create an environment that supports your safety, and stability – you will therefore feel seen, heard and listened to – to tell your story; because, I believe that your voice matters, your words matter, your feelings and emotions matter. I therefore, support you to recognise your worth, thus empowering you to find your own true positive self so that you can reach your full potential.

Your safe space (online, by telephone or in person) is stable and non-judgemental for I always try to communicate congruence (genuineness), empathy, and unconditional positive regard. This non-directive humanistic approach enables you to learn to trust your judgement, and to find your own solutions to your problems and/or concerns.

I work with conscious intention for the greatest and highest good, and I see psychotherapy as a practice of loving kindness - a heart-to-heart connection. I consistently model and mirror ‘good enough’ mothering, holding, containment, safety, stability and appropriate boundaries.

This way of working creates a secure anchor, allowing you to develop trust, feel safe and feel genuinely seen, heard and listened to. From this foundation of safety and trust, I support you in your personal growth and development.

Our therapeutic relationship is built on trust and this is the foundation that facilitates our collaborative working alliance – the therapeutic environment will always support you to feel safe to tell your story, for you are the expert.
